Fear in childhood can change over time. These include fear of strangers, heights, darkness, animals, blood, insects, and left alone at home. Children often have a fear of something or a situation after having an unpleasant experience, like being bitten by a dog or an accident.
Different Anxiety generally occurs when children begin to enter the world of school, while adolescents typically experience fear associated with social and academic achievement. If the anxiety continues to hit, it could threaten the peace of the children. Anxiety associated with being isolated from the social environment can leave the effects long enough. For example, fear the child will be denied to fail his desire to learn social skills, and will cause him to be socially isolated.
Many teens who feel tortured will fear that carry over from childhood experiences. Adolescents who experience fear of speaking in public is probably the result of embarrassment among his friends several years ago. It is important for parents to recognize and identify signs and symptoms of anxiety of children so that fear does not hinder daily activities.
Here are three main symptoms which may be more clearly seen in a timid child, namely:
1. Psychic phenomenon
Fear or anxiety in children can look like: eating disorders, sleep disorders, stomach disorders, difficulty breathing, and headaches.
2. Emotional Disturbance
Emotional disorder caused by fear or anxiety may look like: fear, sensitive, low self-esteem, helplessness, confusion, despair, anger, sadness, and feeling guilty.
3. Symptoms behavior
Generally timid child will experience sleep disturbance, isolate themselves, less on school achievement, aggression, irritability, avoid going out, reliance on a body, and stay in parents room.
