Adjust function with the needs of the baby.

Shoes footwear is not just for babies. There are a series of benefits for babies who might have been less we think about, namely: to protect baby's feet from sharp objects, bear the weight of the body, so the emphasis rests on the correct position (this position will be to form a correct gait), helps to correct or fix some types of abnormalities in the process of growth and development of baby's feet, helping to structure the right foot and normal babies, assist and support the process of learning to walk baby, according to stages of growth and development, maintaining growth of the baby as well as directing the rotation of the leg bones in the right direction.

Therefore, should the baby start wearing shoes that are ergonomically since the age of 1.5 to 7 years. Choose shoes appropriate to the stages of infant development. Replace with a new baby shoes every 2-3 months, according to stages of development path has been reached. Thus the development of the legs and the ability to walk the baby will get more leverage. Shoes for babies to have some type according to function, for example:
For babies learn to crawl. Use a thick-backed shoes and no laces, in order to protect the back of baby's feet touching the floor.
For babies learn to propagate. Use footwear with outer edges of a solid to protect the edge of the baby's feet.
For babies learn to walk. Use strong and sturdy-heeled shoes so that they can "hold" baby heel properly when stepped.
If you want to choose shoes that are good for your baby, you should select shoes that have a criteria like this:
  • The shape is strong and sturdy so as to support the baby's feet well. Not too loose nor too tight. Ergonomics are like "hug" baby feet so comfortable to wear.
  • Choose shoes with a closed model and can form a normal baby's feet.
  • Made from a pliable or flexible material that can be changed to follow the movement of baby's feet. So also with the inside of shoes, select which is made of soft material so that the skin of baby's feet do not become irritated.
  • Made of soft material and allows the baby's skin to breathe, for example of fabric that absorbs sweat.
  • There is space left at the end of baby's feet, a maximum of 1.5 cm.
  • Choose which have a bearing medial arch (the middle on the inner side of the slightly prominent), so it does not make the baby tired quickly.
  • Tip rounded or oval-shaped shoes, and not pointed.
  • Outer soles wide and strong enough to support baby's feet, but not too high.
  • The top of the sol strong "hug" heel baby. So, select that are not made of cloth rather than leather or imitation leather. The height should also be up over the heel.
  • Select the model does not preclude the ankle so that baby's feet free to move and do not bear the burden of knee when the foot moves.
